Motivation Monday! Where can we lay the blame? That’s the theme for the day.
Damn, I didn’t hit a personal record today. Maybe it’s because it was cold. I didn’t have a spotter. The right song wasn’t playing.
It’s the Vernal Equinox, I can’t do legs today!
What do all these excuses have in common? We are trying to lay the blame somewhere other than ourselves. That’s ok, we are human. Sometimes the excuses are even legitimate. But most of the time, we are trying to make things that are 100% in our control seem like they are out of control. Guess what? It’s all in your control.

We are all adults here. The changes we want to make are hard. But ya know what? It’s what we need to do. Recognize your mistake, try better for next time, but don’t place the blame where it doesn’t belong.
When we shift the blame, we are making ourselves powerless. But we aren’t powerless. We are strong. We can power through these difficulties. Get back on our horse, and go for it again. It’s Monday. What have you done with it?
