Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend, filled with fun. Now, I have some sad news, personally. On this past Saturday, I hurt myself lifting weights, and I will be taking it easy for a little bit, making sure that I heal well and efficiently. So, what does this have to do with Motivation? Well, in my opinion, you have two options when an obstacle like this comes your way. You can either let it totally derail you, or you could mitigate any potential issues you might have.
Since we are here, let’s ignore letting it derail you. That’s not our goal here. Our goals here are to succeed, and that option ISN’T the mindset of winners, which I firmly believe we all are here. So let’s talk about the second issue, what we can do to mitigate potential issues. Thankfully, weight loss doesn’t have a single specific aspect, it is multifaceted.
So, I hurt myself, what can I do? First, I’m going to take exercise very, very easy until I feel 100%. Hurting myself again will only make it that much harder to get back to 100%, and thus we enter a vicious cycle. Secondly, I can really focus on my nutrition and make sure that is on point, and take time to really examine what I eat again.
How does this help you? Well, you can try and take a page out of my book! If you hurt yourself or otherwise can’t exercise, focus on nutrition, dedicate that hour you were working out to making sure that you are on point. If, for some reason, you can’t focus on nutrition (maybe you are travelling or something), focus on exercise. Work out an extra 10 or 15 minutes a day, try out some new exercises! If you normally lift, do cardio, if you normally do cardio, check out the weights section! It’s not so scary!
So, get out there, feel better, heal up. Once you are at 100%, you can get back to leveling up. Have a fantastic week everyone.
