We’re in December, which means that a lot of people are planning on starting the New Year with lofty fitness goals. As a result, I know there are those that want to slack off on working out this month. Life gets busy this time of year and finding time to fit in gym time or video time (if you work out with DVDs), can be a struggle. There may be some of you that think since you’re going to really kill it in 2015; it won’t matter if you stop working out until then.
I’m here to urge you to not stop. Your body appreciates (and needs) all the exercise that it gets. If you have major fitness goals, keeping the momentum will only help make these goals a reality. Even if you can only work out a couple of days per week, it is better than nothing. Why make it harder on your future self by not being good to your current self?
I have been struggling with staying on my exercise routine because I’ve become bored with my exercises. This past summer, I did the T-25 workout as an addition to my current workout. I completed it in August and since that time, I have been meaning to try and do it again during the Fall/Winter, the ability to stay committed has eluded me. One of the major reasons for this was because I found myself not having a lot of energy after work to do any additional 25 minutes of working out.
I had did some serious thinking and figured out what I needed to do get excited to work out again. I allowed my body to rest this past weekend and this morning, I began a new routine with adding T-25 workouts prior to my going to the gym. In addition, I decided there will be at least one day per week when I complete two or three T-25 workouts. My thought is that it will spread out the program and give me enough of a variety in exercises to keep me interested. In addition, I am hoping with the a new workout, my body will respond in a different way and create a different type of tone.
